Installation Notes

Replacing the bottom cover is a moderate-difficulty repair. Please follow these guidelines:

1. Safety First: Before beginning, discharge the battery below 25%, power off the laptop, and unplug all peripherals.

2. Tools Required: You will need a Phillips #1 screwdriver.

3. Screw Removal: Remove all screws from the bottom panel. This model typically has six 7mm screws and four 4mm screws.

4. Careful Disassembly: Insert an opening pick into the seam between the lower case and the chassis, then slide it around the entire perimeter until all plastic retaining clips release.

5. Caution: Do not force the cover open, as this could break the plastic retaining clips.

6. Reassembly: To reassemble, lay the new cover flat and press around the edges to secure it to the clips.
